Portals

This series was created in collaboration with artist Brittany Free from her magnificent resin and alcohol ink works. I photographed the ink pours and applied simple shapes, color treatments and digital painting techniques to refine the raw images. It all started with just two prints: a heart shape to symbolize staying connected to one's true desires. And a butterfly shape to symbolize metamorphosis and constant change in life. The project grew to include many other metaphorical gateways. All of these images work well as single prints or as multiples to form a gallery wall.
